Who are we ?

DMV Association of Black Behavior Analysts (DMV ABBA) is a 501c(3) non profit organization who serves the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia Metropolitan area. We provide a safe space for individuals who identify as Black/African American practitioners in the Applied Behavior Analysis field. We aim to support Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs) Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Behavior technicians (BTs), parents and caregivers. We provide mentorship, member relations, and community service.


Our primary goal is to provide a safe space of camaraderie and mentorship to BCBA's (Board Certified Behavior Analysts), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs) and RBT's (Registered Behavior Technicians, Behavior technicians (BTs) and parents/caregivers of color by offering guidance in employment, clinical advice, and educational support. We aim to foster their professional growth and development within the field of ABA.


We are committed to educating the community about  the importance of the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. By raising awareness and disseminating knowledge, we aim to improve understanding and support for individuals with within the black community.
